Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Lee Care Services collects through this website, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and your rights under UK data protection law.
Who we are
The data controller for information collected through this website is Lee Care Services Limited (company number 11469011, registered in England and Wales), trading as Lee Care Services, of No 9, St Andrews Avenue, Colchester, CO4 3AN, Essex.
What information we collect
We collect personal information when you submit one of the forms on this website:
- Enquiry form: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), your message, and a CV if you upload one as part of a care worker application.
- Appointment request form: name, phone number and/or email address, the type of care you are asking about, your preferred time to be called, and any message you add.
We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking technology on this site, so we do not automatically collect browsing behaviour. Our hosting provider's web server logs standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability purposes only.
How, and why, we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry or appointment request, on the basis that this is a necessary step before entering into a care agreement with you, or in our legitimate interest in dealing with general enquiries.
- To consider your application, if you apply for a care worker role, on the basis of taking steps at your request prior to a possible contract of employment.
- To keep records of correspondence for a reasonable period, on the basis of our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate business records.
We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell or rent it to any third party.
Who we share it with
We use Resend (resend.com) as our email delivery provider to send enquiry and appointment details from this website to our office inbox. Resend processes this data on our behalf as a data processor and may process it on servers outside the UK and European Economic Area; where this happens, Resend provides contractual safeguards (such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent Standard Contractual Clauses) to protect your information. We do not otherwise share your information with any third party, except where we are required to by law or where it is necessary to deliver care that has been agreed with you (for example, sharing relevant details with a funding local authority or the NHS where care is funded by them).
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own. Details of the only third-party cookies that may be set (from the Google Maps embed on our Contact page) are in our Cookie Policy.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and appointment requests that do not lead to a care arrangement: kept for 12 months from your last contact with us, then deleted.
- Job applications and CVs: kept for 6 months if your application is unsuccessful, then deleted, unless you ask us to keep your details on file for longer.
- Enquiries that lead to a care arrangement: your information becomes part of your care record and is retained for 8 years after care ends, in line with our records retention policy, unless a longer period is required by law or by a funding body.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete your information, where we have no lawful reason to keep it.
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information in certain circumstances.
- Ask us to provide your information in a portable format, where relevant.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@leecareservices.co.uk or call 020 8087 0075. We will respond within one month.
Keeping your information secure
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the personal information you share with us, including restricting access to enquiry and application data to staff who need it to do their job, and using a reputable email provider that supports encryption in transit.
Children's information
This website is intended for adults arranging or enquiring about care, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it.
